Grobag Egg (now the Gro-Egg), the colour changing room thermometer that gives parents an instant view of baby's room temperature.
Room temperature is vital in creating a safe sleeping environment for a baby and should be maintained at 16-20°C to help reduce the risk of cot death.
The Grobag Egg glows yellow if the room temperature is within recommended guidelines. The egg will change colour if the room temperature is outside this range, so you can cool or heat the room, or adjust baby's bedding or clothing.
Simple Colour Warning System
- Blue - too cold (under 16°C)
- Yellow - recommended (16-20°C)
- Orange - warm (21-24°C)
- Red - too warm (over 24°C)

Ok product - you're better off with

This product looks very nice, but my two main issues are that it's too bright and also it didn't appear to be altogether accurate, or sensitive. We have a baby monitor that displays the room temperature and has lights and music, and that was a far better product, in my opinion. Still, this is a nice "aesthetic" touch to your nursery.
Great Product and Fast Delivery

Bought two (for different rooms) - tested them together at the same spot in the room, they are accurate to one another, but may vary from 0.2-0.4°C at any one time - which is not bad. Very good idea.

We already have one of these for our first daughters rooms and found it a God send as nervous new parents. Our two year old loves her's so much though we have not been able to remove it so we had to get another one for our new babies room. Really does give you peace of mind at a glance from the bedroom door - no need to turn on lights etc.

Coloured light shows temperature clearly, the large display is useful if you want mroe accurate temp.

Great Concept

I think that this is a great concept. I love that I can tell at a glance the temperature of the room. However, we've been stuck with the "too hot" orange color since we plugged it in, so now we're just waiting for the weather to get a little cooler to see if it changes.

This little egg thermometer is brilliant. You can see at a glance the temperature of the room without waking your baby. And as it also doubles up as a nightlight it is great value for money. Cute egg design!
Interesting

This was a freebie with my Grobag order and so it is not something I would have bought myself. However, even though my child is now 2 and heat and cold are a little less of a priority, it is really interesting to see the temperature of her room and the shade of colour of the light is a superb idea. I was suprised as well, sometimes when I think my daughter's room is a bit cold, the temperature is as it is supposed to be. A very useful little thing.

Would be perfect if it had a battery option

Casts a lovely soft light - enough to see the baby by, but it would be better if it had a no lead/ battery option, and could be recharged at the mains.

Free gift with purchase of my 2 new grobags - thankyou!!!!
However, we have found that it gives a different temperature reading to 2 other brand of thermometers we have so not sure on accuracy...
