My 3 year old really loves his new alarm clock. The boy playing (meaning it's time to get up) or boy sleeping (time to stay in bed) idea is easy for him to understand and clearly lit up so there's no confusion.
The clock dial is large and he is enjoying learning to tell the time. The small digital panel at the bottom is an added bonus. It looks good. Its easy for little hands to pick up and is lightweight.
It's clunky and seems to be withstanding the bashing it gets in a 3 year old's bedroom. All in all it has been a good purchase.
My only criticism is to the manufacturers - please can you design one that has some sort of back panel on it that children can't access (maybe one that pops on/off in parental hands but too tricky for kids). My son has a habit of fiddling with the dials on the back and changing the time and the alarm setting. I'm loathe to put it up on a high shelf out of his way as for me this defeats the object of him having his little alarm clock next to his bed that he can hit the button to light up and see what time it is when he wakes in the morning, or even in the middle of the night.
But I do so wish he wouldn't fiddle with the dials and the temptation seems too great for him!! If that little glitch could be fixed then this item would definitely be getting a 5 star from me as it's a great little clock for children.

Lovely item that combines analogue and digital times. The functions are simple to use and child friendly. I would buy this item again and happily recommend it.
Downsides: it's a little smaller than I'd hoped but it's prefect for children and the space available on the bedside cabinet.
The colours available (pink & blue) are poor. I'd have loved purple, orange, yellow for example in order to avoid the mountain of pink girls things but I guess you can't have everything.
We've passed on your comments to the manufacturer.

We were looking for a sleep training clock for our early rising 4 year old, but wanted something that would last her longer than the Gro clock with just a glowing sun and stars.
This was definitely the best product we found. Couple of minor flaws - needs to be reset every evening which is a bit annoying, and the light up pictures are not as bright as I would like.
However, overall it is a fantastic product. Lovely clear clock, and good to have the digital display as well. My daughter loves having a grown up clock, and whilst not 100% successful, we have had some "lie in's" when she has waited until 7am and "scooter girl" is lit up.
A great improvement!
We have not yet tested the alarm clock function as we bought it for the teaching clock and sleep training functions.

Quite expensive but worth it! You can use either the alarm or/and the lighten character. My son (2 yrs 1/2) loves it. He switches it on himself when he goes to bed. When he gets up too early in the morning we show him that the little boy from the picture is still sleeping and that he also needs to go back to bed.
His brother who is 6 yrs old also loves it and has learnt to read the time on the analogue clock properly thanks to digital clock on which he can check if he is right.
The analogue clock does not make any noise at all, which is great!
You do not have to buy batteries as there is an adaptor, so it is worth paying a little extra for a good product and saving the money on batteries.
