At first you think that this product is expensive and that there are cheaper baby gates on the market. This was the third gate that we tried to fit our unusually wide stairs. It fitted perfectly, is incredibly strong and now we have one at the bottom of the stairs as well as the top. It is an excellent product and well worth the money. The product was delivered really quick too.

Liked the look of the gate. Liked the fact that it rolls up when not in use. Not so pleased with how difficult the gate is to open/close when fully extended and fitted to a wide opening.

As a guard it works really well but has been very difficult to fit in a house built a very long time ago. The attachments worked eventually but it was quite tricky. All in all though, I'm still very happy with it.

The noise or 'alarm' is distinctly annoying. It's a little tricky when you have a babe in arms - but it's secure and neat and doesn't flinch when my toddler throws himself at it!

A little complicated to fit but a neat product which does not cause a trip hazard and seems very strong.

What a great idea, so simple to use and so easy to fit to the wall, comes with every fitting you could ever need and there is no way my son will be able to open it on his own! Fantastic product, would definately recommend.

Excellent delivery from That Cute Age - but The KiddyGuard is very difficult to operate whilst holding onto a baby, you really need two hands to open it and also it is very hard for older brothers or sisters to open should they need to use the stairs. But from a visual point of view it is good.

Really neat and robust, saves having gates swinging. Downside is price.

Very hard (impossible?) to operate with one hand.

Really good gate although very tricky to install if you have an irregular stairs. We have an old staircase in which I had to saw and add strips of wood to ensure the fixings were secure. It was a little tricky to get used to operating one handed as my 12month old was scared of the clicking warning noise made when button wasn't pressed down.
The handle can also be tricky to access from behind when coming up the stairs (we have it at the top). I am however really happy now after all the fiddling.
I feel its safe and allows you to come downstairs without tripping over any bars as with other gates. The price was reasonable but wouldn't pay £65 as advertised on some websites and catalogues.

Takes a bit of getting used to opening and closing - but once mastered very good.
Have installed 2 around the house in very difficult locations where standard gates would not work or would take some major work to do so.
Not the easiest to install but worth it.
