This blind is just what I wanted, fits the window perfect and ideal to take on hols also like it because it keeps the bedroom cool in the hot weather we have had recently.
By Nicola, 12/07/11
Generally good but where it does not fit exactly and bunches up it lets in light. This may just be our windows as the frames are not wide enough for the size of the suckers to fit so they have to be fitted to the window glass.
Also some small pin prick holes in the fabric though I don't think these would change the overall affect.

The Gro Anywhere Blackout Blind is a must for all with babies and young children, especially if there light sleepers. I couldn't believe just how much it darkens the room. I want one in my room now!!

By Lisa, Ipswich, 06/06/11
A very good idea, quick and easy to put up. Thought it would make my two year old twins sleep past 5.15am, unfortunately not but does make the room darker when going to bed.

The goods were dispatched the day the payment was made
By Caroline, 18/05/11
What a life saviour! My daughter will only sleep when it's dark and although we have a permanent blackout blind in her bedroom, when we go on holiday or visit friends or relatives overnight we take the Gro Anywhere blackout blind and within moments the room is completely dark!
The suction cups mean that you can completely cover the window with no gaps which is great. Although the blackout blind is a good size, the occasional window is larger than the blind although this is a fairly rare problem. We actually bought two blinds to cover every eventuality! I did a lot of research on portable blackout blinds before buying this one and I am really pleased with the product.

We bought this when the clocks sprung forward, as our daughter's room was lit up like a Christmas tree at bedtime. Notwithstanding the fact that our window is actually a bit too big for it, it still makes a massive difference to her going (and staying!) down. We find that some of the suckers don't stick brilliantly, but a friend says this could be because the window is dirty. I haven't tested her theory by cleaning it, but have instead taped up the bits which are prone to falling...!!

A useful product for babies/children who sleep better in the dark. Very handy for travelling. As usual a competitive price from that cute age.

Good product, which you can take anywhere. It doesn't let any light through and we have it always in our sons bedroom. It does let some light through by the sides and it is hard to look tidy on a small window, where the left over fabric just hangs down.

This blackout blind is a good size and does exactly what its meant to - keeps daylight out and creates a cool dark environment for your child to sleep. Only disappointing point is that sometimes some of the window suckers don't work as effectively as you may like. It's surprising how much light can come through if just one comes lose.
Once you've got it set up right you'll be reluctant to take it down, which means our nursery is always dark. Shame since we put so much effort into choosing light and airy decor but at least my baby and I get some good nights sleep- even on the sunniest of summer mornings.

Very good blackout blind if window is fairly big. Good product, fast delivery

This blind is much better than the expensive roller blind we had fitted which let in light round the edges and the top. I have it attached all the time.

This is excellent, small really easy to use and fits any window, the blind itself is huge but is adjustable so can be made smaller. Really lightweight and easy to travel with
By Grant, 20/06/10
Perfect for our holiday in an airy Italian villa. Kept out all light and allowed us a rare lie-in!
By Mechelle, 20/06/10
Sticks well to window though suckers sometimes need moistening. We have a small window so its a bit too big and lets teeny bits of light in at the edges, but we also have curtains so this isn't an issue. Will be taking it everywhere with us this summer!
By Stuart, 16/06/10
The suckers aren't the best, but wetting them before sticking them to the window gets them to stick better.
By Loraine, 14/06/10
By M Walker, 14/06/10
What a great blind, very easy to put up and take down and very lightweight. It seemed to do the trick for my 2 year old daughter whilst away from home. My only negative is that it was not quite wide enough to cover all of the window (it was a very wide window though!!!)
Highly recommended.

Excellent service from yourselves, as like other reviewers, the stickers loose their suction after a while, but they do make the room totally black
By Zoe, 10/06/10
Excellent product, especially for the late summer nights and trips away. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is some of the suction cups are bent and don't stick to the window instantly.
By Edinburgh Mom, 10/06/10
Bought the gro blind to use in the kids bedroom. Keeps out the light. A bit of a hassle if you need to take the blind down everyday as I find that the suckers kind of loose their suction at times. But does what it's supposed to do.
By Laura, 09/06/10
Easy to put up and take down but light does get in the sides where there are no suction pads
By Nik Halton, 09/06/10
Heard a lot about the product and hoping to get lots of use from it.

We bought this blackout blind because our 9 month old was regularly starting her day at 5am. The blind is fine once you have it attached to the window, but the suction cups aren't very sucky and they don't attach to the window frame, which means that some light gets in around the hem on all sides.
It says it is adjustable but this is, in practice, hard. If you shorten it to fit the window the material bunches up and lets light in. There's no perfect product out there, this one is pretty good, but once you get it attached to the window you wont want to take it down again and that means using the electric light in your baby's room during the day.

5 star brilliant product! My 10 month old twin girls sleep every night for 13 hours straight since we purchased this... a must for the summer nights!! Great customer service from That Cute Age aswell! :-)
By A, 01/04/10
I had a blackout blind and blackout curtains in my two year old's room and chinks of light were still causing her to wake at around 6.30pm when the mornings began to get lighter.
I purchased the Gro Anywhere blind, installed it in five minutes and had to wake her at 7.45am the next morning. It is a fantastic product and makes the room pitch black even during the day. I do tend to leave it up as it would be a time consuming to unstick and stick it up each day but it looks unconspicuous from the outside and I just peel it up a couple of times a week to open the window.
By Maria, 05/03/10
This is great for travelling but also for having at home. I do not have black out blinds and I do not put my baby to sleep in a dark room until it is night time, so this is great to recreate the "night" when it is time for bed and it is bright daylight outside. Very easy to use and packs small. The suction cups are slightly flat but if they release, a bit of moist makes them stick well.
By Ana, 17/02/10
Does exactly what it says on the tin but not one that can be quickly put up every day. Great for travel. THAT CUTE AGE were excellent when taking my order and delivering.

I swear by these black out blinds. My little boy who is now one has had one in his room (in addition to another blind!) and he never wakes at the crack of dawn. Its so easy to take away with you too and when we visit relatives I sneakily put it up in the room he is sleeping in as well!
Well worth it.
By Julb, 22/11/09
Great product - blocks out light, good size, pretty versatile and folds down into a fairly small pocket making it easy to take with you. My only slight (and I mean slight) dislike is that the suckers sometimes won't stick immediately to the window - once they're on they're on though. I'd recommend this product for travel and as an easy fix for a bedroom without a blackout roller blind.

Great product, we ordered two, but unfortunately the little suckers don't stick to the window enough to stay put. I'd say that only a third of them work. Somehow they're just too flat. If it wasn't for those little suckers I would rate it five stars as functionality, design and quality of the blind are fab!

Just returned from a week in Cornwall where we found the blind invaluable. Our 6 month old struggles with her daytime naps unless the room is dark so I was worried about how she'd sleep on holiday. It fitted perfectly against the window frame and let in very little light so the room was very black. Well worth the money.
By Rosie B, 18/08/09
This really helped our toddler to sleep for longer in the mornings, instead of waking at 5.00am. I haven't had any problems with the suckers detaching from the material - just make sure you remove it by prising off the suckers rather than pulling at the cloth.
By Cheerfulsoul, 13/07/09
These blinds are ideal for travelling. They seem to fit any window size.
We bought one for ourselves as well as one for the baby! They're not complete blackout but good enough with normal curtains over the top.

We bought the black out blind as our son keeps getting up earlier and earlier. The blind is extremely effective at keeping out light. However, I do find that the suction cups do detach from the blind (not the window) fairly frequently. However, this would not dissuade me from continuing to use it - I would certainly recommend it.
By Suzanne, 26/05/09
This is the best blackout blind I've used - my daughter is sleeping much better. We use it daily and it's great to know it's portable as well. A great find!

This was purchased on a recommendation and we were delighted with it, and have now purchased another. Highly recommended.
By Kate, 23/05/09
Really good product. Packs easily for travel and is simple and quick to put up. Just beware of the fabric pulling away from the eyelets when trying to take the plastic suckers out.
By Nicola Shiels, 18/05/09

I bought this to go on my son's nursery window as he was struggling to settle with the lighter evenings. Although it was hard to get the suction pads into the holes on the blind, once I'd managed to get it sorted it fixed well and has done the trick! In fact, it's now so dark I need the night-light on when I feed him.

Essential summer holiday kit. A little bit fiddly to set up, but much better than blankets draped over the window. Could do with a few more eyelets, to get a better fit around the window. But overall a really useful thing to have.

Was worried about the morning sun on our hols, but this blind was amazing. I have so many bits that are a waste of money, but this was well worth the cash. A must have for any early risers xx
By Lisa, 30/04/09
Great product, and quick delivery. Only snag is that the suckers that attach the blind to the window aren't easy to fit to begin with and have a habit of coming loose from the blind daily so you have to re-attach again.
Blocks out the light great though, and has been handy now that the bright nights are here.

Great product, a little fiddly getting the suckers on. Once I got the knack, easy. Had some problems keeping one or two of the suckers on the window but overall did the job. Ideal for taking on holidays.
By Nicky Jones, 19/04/09
The product works very well, and was delivered incredibly quickly (on the free postage option). However product is a bit over priced for what it is, hence only 4 stars, otherwise would have been 5 star.

Love it. We haven't used a black out blind before, however my son is now 15 months and as the days have been getting lighter he had starting waking as early as 6am! Since putting up the blind in the evenings he is now back to sleeping through to 7.30-8am. We are going away this weekend for Easter so I've packed it up in the handy pouch it comes with and we will use it while we are away also. Initially I was a little concerned about the cost but now that I have the blind it's better quality than I expected so worth the money.

Ideal for trips away from home, not so much for every day use as tricky to attach to window, would be a pain to do it every day but does get a little easier with practice. Did help my 15 month old sleep later in the mornings so worth the money just for that!

Great idea and works well not just for travel but for a more permanent fixture in a nursery too.
Oversized means it even fit my old Victorian windows-- which are really REALLY tall and I still had material either side to tuck into nooks and crannies of the window frame to ensure not a sliver of light made it into my son's room.
One thing which could be improved is if the blind came with a tool which made putting the suction cups into the blind easier. I used the pointed end of a potato peeler to ensure they were in properly and it worked well. Not exactly conventional, but the blind is still up after two weeks and not a single suction cup has come away from the blind itself.
Also a few more suction cups could not hurt-- but over all, I'd say its going to be a real saviour for our very bright summer nights!

Absolutely brilliant, we have just been away for the weekend to a pine lodge which had the normal tablecloth curtains and used the Baa Baa Blackout Blind for the first time over the window in my little ones room. Result - no early wake up calls, kept his room nice and dark, especially as the room was facing the mornng sunshine! I would highly recommend this product to all parents whose little ones wake early with the daylight.
By Julie, 01/04/09
By Fiona, 01/04/09
A fantastic idea - and really does block out a lot of light. The only drawback is that we have old fashioned sliding windows, so one half sits just in front of the other, so that we were not able to achieve total blackout. Should be great for normal flat windows!
By Nkr, 31/03/09
Whilst this isn't that expensive, it's a little pricey for a product that's only 75% there. The suckers could do with attaching to the blind itself a little better and it would be helpful to get a few more of the sucker pads as when the blind is used with a large window those supplied aren't quite enough.
Overall though a good product; not only is the light completely blocked out when the blind is fitted correctly, it's great at filtering out heat too!
By Lucie., 31/03/09
Really easy to put up and large enough to fit bedroom full length doors. Great at blocking out light too. Good investment as you can take it away as it's light and comes with bag, so easy to pack.

Suckers can be a bit tricky to fit initially but the blind does a great job of blocking out the light...just make sure you allow time to assemble and put in place before your little one goes to sleep! Nice and compact when put away in it's bag...ideal for breaks away from home. Comes recommended by us!

Does a better job than the blackout blind in our son's room at home! Very easy to put up and it is very compact so not a problem to pack.
By Nina Barnes, 20/03/09
This little item is worth every penny. All too often you go away to a nice holiday but then find thin, or very light curtains, which means the little ones getting up too early, and being cranky for the rest of the day. The Baa Baa Blackout Blind now helps them get the sleep they need.

By Jemfysh, 17/02/09
Perfect for temporary use such as holidays, but would get a bit tedious putting it up and taking it down all summer long. Seems very versatile - should fit most sizes of bedroom window. It was the perfect size for ours, but I imagine pulling the tapes to gather each side in and make them shorter might let a bit more light in...don't know...haven't tried. Some of the suction pads stayed stuck to the window when we pulled the blind off, but it wasn't a big bother. I had read elsewhere that the sheep design was only on one quarter of the blind, but it was all over ours, so perhaps they have changed this (thank goodness!).

I tested the curtain in different situations. If the room faces East and gets direct sunlight in the morning, you can see the sun through it, but the room is still dark enough to stay asleep.
If it is a dull gray day, the room stays very dark.
The suckers stick to glass ok if you moisten the surface of them first, but if you don't, the ones at the edges fall off during the night. The suckers also stick to PVC frames ok, but don't stay there as long as they do on glass, but if moistened first, they do stick for up to 24 hours. It's the suckers at the edges that tend to fall off first.
Overall It is a bit overpriced in my opinion, but it is a very good portable product that works, and is worth buying just for the convenience.
By Suzanne, 07/09/08
This blind is really good - certainly helped my 4 month old boy to sleep during a recent holiday. It's easy enough to fit and is nicely portable. My only gripe is that the suckers sometimes don't fit very well to the blind - mine kept falling down in places.

The baa baa black out blind certainly does block out the light - the reason I have only given it 4 stars is because it is a bit of a mission to put together - takes a while! But does a good job once it is up!

By Eleanor, 07/08/08
I found this blind very handy when transferring my baby from my room into the nursery - the blind was transferred without any hassle which you would get with roller blinds etc.
It is also very effective at blocking out all the light and the design means it can be adjusted to fit any window.
The only negative for me is that I found it a little pricey, but it does work.
By Gemma Testa, 03/08/08
It would be handy to have a few spare suckers in case any are lost but apart from that an exact product and I have already recommended it to others.
By Michelle, 02/08/08
Took a bit of setting up and couldn't get the suction pads to stick at first but it was worth the effort. Our son slept right through for almost 13 hrs!

An excellent solution to a common problem, lightweight and easy to use. I have used mine on holiday in Scotland, very simple and makes sure my little one is not up too early!
By Amanda, 26/07/08
Effective. Slightly fiddly suction pads. But I can't think how it could be designed any easier whilst maintaining versatility. So pleased with it, I bought a second a few days later and am using them at home on an enormous bay window.
